Erectile dysfunction medications took in Glengormley

Large amounts of unlicensed medications have been taken by Department of Health authorities during a search of a house in Glengormley.

A guy was talked to by department officers about unlawfully importing and consequently providing unlicensed impotence medicines by means of the web.

The 47-year-old was likewise questioned about other medication offenses.

He will now be the topic of a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

The search was brought out by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement office, Peter Moore, said: "It is essential that we get the message throughout that unlicensed medications can be dangerous.

"These types of products being sold, normally online, have gone through no and there can be no guarantee about their security.

"You merely do not know what you are taking or the conditions these items were made in. More notably, you do not understand the effect drugs like this may have on your health."
